An excellent condition, signed double-bag “Khorjin” saddle bag from Shiraz region. Signed by the weaver, and dated to 1973. A prime example of the simple elegance of tribal weaves. An ideal piece for wall display.

On either end of the piece, the centerpiece is a primary hooked diamond medallion. This is contrasted by a fabulous negative space of deep indigo, upon which the weaver has scattered uniquely colored flowers and trees. A colorful border of linked hands-on-hip motifs wraps the perimeter of the bagfaces.
