Does sand get stuck in shoe?

There is 360-degree ventilation with the side gills. The sand is easily drained and let out by these gills.

How do the sizes run?

For the bit, this fits like a true shoe however, the foam will stretch after a few wears. If you're a half size you would want to size up (ie. 10.5 wears an 11).

Do they come in a wide width?

They do not, however, if you have wide feet, sizing up a whole size would help.

Is it recommended to wear these without socks?

You can wear them with or without socks, all personal preference.
