1923 $ 1 Silver Certificates ERROR 3 con # 242 -244

Being offered today is an ERROR set of 3 consecutive HIGH GRADE $1 Dollar 1923 Large size series Silver Certificate Notes.

All of these notes display insufficient inking and mis-alignment errors.

One the first note, the “Z7” of both serial numbers is darker that the rest of the serial numbers. The letter “B” is higher than the other numbers.

On the second note, the “Z7” and the “B” of the lower serial number is darker. The numbers “660” are lighter and thinner. The letter “B” is higher than the other numbers.

On the third note, the “Z7” is darker. The “B” is slightly higher.

They have all been graded very high by PMG (Paper Money Guaranty). The first two notes are graded in PMG 64 EPQ (Exceptional Paper Quality), the third note has been graded PMG 63 EPQ.

This was the last large size US dollar bill issued in this series. This note was called the “Saddle Back” or “Horse blanket” due to the fact of the design on the back and the size of the note. (see pictures).

This note was backed by the U.S. Treasury Department for one dollar in silver coin back then. So, you could go to the bank and get silver dollars. Imagine if you got a rare 1893 S (San Francisco) Morgan Dollar. It is worth 1 million today.

This is a great investment and a highly collectable set of notes.

The notes are centered very well, and the ink just pops off the notes. The colors are bright and bold. The notes have fantastic eye appeal. The notes also have blue and red threads throughout the notes. That is one of the reasons that makes these notes so beautiful. This was another way that the Bureau of Engraving and Printing prevented these notes from being counterfeited.

The notes show no sign of wear on the corners or the sides. All of the corners and edges of the notes are crisp and clean. There are no pinholes, rips, stains, or tears.
