Tall Egyptian Wood Figure // Middle Kingdom, 2050-1786 BC
Product Description
A large and impressive Egyptian wooden figure of a servant dating from Egypt’s Middle Kingdom, c. 2050-1786 BC. He is finely carved, with nicely detailed hair and face, depicted with both arms down at his sides, wearing a classic Egyptian kilt. The divots in his hands once likely held a plow or carriage of some sort. Traces of the original red and black painted details still visible, as well as white paint remnants overall.
